Fucking Divorce Sucks

So the wife dropped the big D bomb on me and I have to say Im fucking struggling with this. Not to mention I am the primary bread winner and she wants like $2600 a month so she can go live in an apartment in a fancy neighborhood. Sometimes life seems to dumb a big pile of shit on you. The only positive out of this I can see is that it is helping my cut, since I have no appetite. Fuck.

Sorry to hear man. I feel
They need to do away with alimony. Child support fine but when you ask for divorce that means your leaving everything behind. It makes no sense to say I don’t want to be with you but give me money. I too have had low appetite as I broke up with gf and now I’m stuck In a city I hate alone right after moving to thirds. Life just sucks sometimes I know my issue is small potatoes compared to yours. But we will make it through. I think my next Saturday I have off I’m going to go find a 21 to stick my dick in

Fuck man, Im 50 (next month). I have been with her 17 years. I have no idea how to even meet women anymore, but I think you are on the right track. It would at least take your mind off things temporarily. lol

Hang in there, Brotha! I swear women are just like drugs! They can be the best high ever but can they leave you feeling more pain than anything else in life other than the death of a loved one. It blows my mind how they can turn off all sense of feeling and compassion like a light switch, hence the reason I’m scared shitless to fall for one again. I hope you find a better woman who appreciates you and treats you the way you deserve.

I couldn’t fathom a break up after 17 years. I just broke up with my girlfriend of 2 years last month. It sucks but women out number men by quite a bit, look at it as an opportunity to meet someone new.

I’m sorry to hear about your situation. Did she actually file for divorce or is just asking to divorce? I only ask because maybe you just need some time apart and you guys can work on fixing it. It’s definitely a hard situation to be in and the thought of trying to date again terrifies me as well. Hang in there.

Thank you. I think I am about 10-20 lbs from looking the best I have ever looked body wise.

Well first of all, you’re hard work is paying off. You look great.

2nd. I’m sorry about the D. I hate it for you and have zero advice. My 1st did the same thing to me. She crushed me.

I have been there, brother. It totally sucks, even when, as in my case, I initiated the divorce after 17 years of marriage and 20+ years together and three kids. I just couldn’t take the emotional abuse any more; my heart had grown cold. But you can’t erase all of that history with one fell swoop. It’s with you forever, and resolving that is really difficult. And so it will be with your wife. Unless she is in love with someone else, I would expect the break to be quite an emotional upheaval for her and that she may go back and forth. So there may be an opportunity for reconciliation if that is what you want. Regardless, best of luck.

Wow. The “witching year” as it were. I’ve been remarried now for 13 years. This one is as strong as they come, though, so I’m not worried about hitting 17 again!

Congratulations. Ten years is quite the milestone and should be celebrated.

The second time around was a homerun for me. I can’t believe how lucky I got: a ridiculously talented and hot 28-year old falling for 39-year old guy going through a divorce with three kids and no money. Sheesh. The gods were smiling on me. So OP, if the divorce does happen, you never know what the tide will bring in. The gods may smile on you, too.

That’s good stuff. I’m the same way. Life is good for us.

Not wishing bad on anyone but the ex has been one miserable sob since she left… been married twice since…one drained her finances…shot her house up etc. she’s been hospitalized several times, most recently with lung cancer… had a lung removed.

She made our separation/divorce particularly nasty soooooooooio…

KARMAS A BITCH.

I was fortunate that my ex put our children first and, thus, even though she drained me financially, it all went relatively smoothly. And now everything is peaceful. My current wife and I attended my oldest son’s wedding a few years ago, and at the rehearsal dinner, I literally had my ex on side of me and my wife on the other. Tense, but peaceful.
