Intro - TRT - newbie

Hello, I am new to posting but been reading a lot :-). Im 43, 6ft 230 have been a powerlifter in the past, but was lifting for general health. I stopped training due to my gym closing for covid, gained some (15#) covid pounds and now am trying to get back into the swing of things and get back to the point where I look like I actually workout…I never tried AAS but was interested for many years. I tested my total T and was in the low 200’s, HRT clinic put me on 100 mg test cyp 2x a week. Been on now for 2 months. Total T at 1007 and Free at 306. SHBG 21.
Edited: Sorry… 200mg total a week so 100 mg on Monday and Thursday

Welcome aboard. Numbers look good. You’d probably benefit from Proviron to help boost your free T

Thanks I appreciate the warm welcome. Yes feeling quite a bit better, now just trying to dial it in. Still having some inconsistent days but getting there. I had been on pellets a few years back and felt really good on them for like 8 weeks of the 5 months or so. So kinda chasing that feeling again. I swear I felt like wolverine for those 7-8 weeks lol. Cost and the downtime from the mini surgery was problematic. Stopped for about 2 years then came to the realization how moody I felt and tired and unfocused. Remembered that the TRT pellets helped but only for 8 weeks or so.
Future plans… lol… well getting back into “shape” for me sub 20 percent body fat, ideal 15ish, (at 25 now). More concern towards aesthetics and health than my gym numbers.
Now looking into Proviron at this point.

I have been thinking about the pellets being a good option for me once I start running gear again I will say definitely if you’re interested in proviron go for it you will feel amazing with alot more free testosterone and less aromatase.

I believe that proviron is the most underrated compound. Its safe isn’t methylated it frees up testosterone and proviron itself is an androgen which will help with balancing your cycle or trt.

I still don’t understand why the FDA has never approved it probably just because it is a hormone smh its ridiculous to see other countries prescribe all sorts of medication that they don’t allow in the states. Stupidity in my opinion just ignorance on their part.

Yeah I liked the pellets, I had to get 2 (implantations?) initially because the first wasnt enough. I noticed a different in about 3 weeks from the 1st one but then like nothing really changed. I felt slightly better but other than that I was kinda annoyed I paid $700 to feel like that… So tested blood work and total T was 700 up from low 2’s at that time. I dont know the free t or shbg(didnt know to look for those then) Dr asked how I felt, I said well if this is it I probably wont do it again. Then they gave me more pellets, then another 2-3 weeks thats when I felt awesome. Total T was just over 1200, again dont know the other numbers… Then that lasted about 8 weeks or so and then it tapered off and it was November… Well with Christimas right around the corner and everyone wanting some gifts… that took priority then expenses…then covid…then everything shut down for covid. I didnt really get depressed like I have read some get, just the fatigue and lack of focus/brain fog came back and then I felt pretty indifferent about things… So started again in March of this year but with Injections. The provider is ok, they want me to take HCG and Im not sure they are going to go over the 200mg a week. Id rather get just the Test dialed in and then add from there. They of course are trying to push DHEA and adrenal support supplements on me… Injectable Amino’s, B-12 etc… not sure if those are even worth it.
Im of the mind set. protein powder, fish oil, creatine, and eat clean.

Sounds like you’re in good hands brother 1200 from a doctor is amazing those pellets might be good for me but 700 is alot I can’t do that (sad face) I wish I could budget that in but you could even be on neibido for that price.

200mg should be a good level I would say follow your instinct and look into proviron and also the hcg is good. I would ask your doctor about b12 inj and Glutathione inj also they have been prescribing peptides lately I don’t know if you are still with a trt or hrt clinic but you could talk to your doctor about peptides and see if he believes any would help you like hexamorelin or ipamorelin even seramorelin

Amino inj are great if he will prescribe them

Yeah that’s mostly the reason I didn’t go back was the cost. The trt place I’m with now will prescribe quite a few things. And it’s like 120 a month. They only charge for blood work other than that.

So the injectable amino’s and b12 are legit?

I’ll look at the other ones you suggested.
Thanks
