Powerlifting is a strength sport that consists of three attempts at maximal weight on three lifts: squat, bench press, and deadlift. As in the sport of Olympic weightlifting, it involves lifting weights in three attempts.

Now if you’re serious in the gym and trying to bulk and put on mass these are the 3 staple exercises you should be doing. Should you be doing them like a powerlifter I say no but still lifting these 3 exercises will put that mass you want on your body of course with the right diet.
So you don’t have to lift a massive amount of weight to get the benefits from the sport of powerlifting. You should be adding there 3 main exercises into your routine though if you want to grow just lift at your pace don’t try to lift like the hulk and eat a proper diet.
