Shoulder Tendinitis: how can I get back into the gym?

My shoulder tendinitis is getting better, pain still there but nothing like it was a few months ago.

I’m dying to get back into the gym! I’ve been told to stay away from DB/BB and work with machines and cables.

I don’t have anything against using machines, I just don’t want to aggravate my shoulder any more. Are there certain exercises/movements that I should absolutely stay away from?

I have wrist and shoulder tendinitis, I work through by making sure I do personal rehab daily. Just be aware of the movements and what it should be targeting. If you start to feel the discomfort or pain then change it up.
